Academic Areas

Molecular epidemiology / Genetic epidemiology

Research Interests

Epidemiological and biochemical approaches to investigate the associations between genetic variants and susceptibility to common cancers, with an emphasis in characterization of biological functions as the underlying molecular mechanisms.

Epidemiological studies to investigate gene-environment, gene-gene interactions and phenotype-genotype correlation in the risk of digestive cancers.
