Overview
Dr. Gang Liu, Professor of Nutrition and Epidemiology, Assistant Dean, School of Public Health, Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology.
Dr. Liu’s research has focused on diet/lifestyle, metabolic, and genetic factors in relation to obesity, type 2 diabetes, and cardiovascular disease. Dr. Liu’s group is also interested in nutrition intervention studies for the prevention of type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease. He has published more than 80 papers in peer-reviewed scientific journals, including Lancet Diabetes Endocrinol, JACC, Circ Res, Nat Hum Behav, Diabetes Care, PLoS Med, NEJM, and BMJ. He has served as an Associate Editor of European Journal of Nutrition, Nutrition & Metabolism, and BMC Public Health. He has been invited to review papers for more than 30 international journals including Lancet, JAMA, BMJ, Lancet Diabetes & Endocrinol, Diabetes Care and Am J Clin Nutr.
